1. About these terms
Indian Cargo Packers and Movers ("we", "us") has its head office at Plot No. 356, Bharthal, near Syndicate Bank, Sector 26, Dwarka, New Delhi, Delhi 110077. By booking a service with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them with your quote before you confirm a date.
2. Quotes and surveys
- Quotes and surveys are free. A quote is based on the inventory, addresses, floors and access details agreed at the survey.
- If items are added, or access turns out different from what was described (for example no lift, or no truck access near the door), the extra work is priced and agreed with you before it is done.
- Prices on this website are typical ranges to help you plan. They are not an offer; your written quote is.
- A quote is valid for the period stated on it.
3. Booking and payment
- A booking is confirmed when you accept the quote and we confirm the date in writing, by WhatsApp or email.
- Payment terms, including any advance, are stated on your quote. Pay only against a receipt.
- We issue a GST invoice for every move. Tell us before the move if it must be in a company's name, with its GSTIN.
- Goods in storage, or goods held at delivery, may be released only after payments due for them are cleared.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give us an accurate inventory and access details, and tell us about fragile, heavy or high-value items in advance.
- Arrange permissions at both addresses: society or building approval, lift booking, parking and gate passes, and any entry passes for official or restricted areas.
- Be present, or have someone you trust present, at pickup and delivery to check and sign the inventory.
- Keep cash, jewellery, important documents, medicines and valuables with you. They should not go in the truck.
- Empty and defrost the fridge, drain coolers and washing machines, and empty fuel from generators and lawn mowers before moving day.
5. Items we can't carry
For safety and legal reasons, we do not carry:
- Cash, jewellery, bullion, share certificates and similar valuables.
- Firearms, ammunition and explosives, including fireworks.
- Flammable or hazardous goods: petrol, diesel, kerosene, gas cylinders that are not empty, paint thinners, acids and chemicals.
- Anything illegal to possess or transport, and goods without the documents the law requires.
- Perishable food and live animals.
If such items are found in goods handed to us, we may refuse to carry them, and you are responsible for any loss or penalty that results.
6. Packing and handling
- We pack using materials suited to each item, as described in your quote.
- If you pack cartons yourself, we cannot check what is inside. We are not responsible for damage inside a carton you packed unless the carton itself shows damage in our care.
- Some items may need to be taken apart to move safely, such as beds, wardrobes or table legs. We refit them where the quote includes it.
- We are not responsible for the working of electrical or electronic items where there is no outward damage, as faults may be internal and unrelated to handling.
7. Transit insurance and our liability
We offer transit insurance for every move. It is optional, and its cover depends on the value you declare and the insurer's policy terms. Details are on our insurance page.
Without insurance, our liability for loss of or damage to goods in our care is limited to what the Carriage by Road Act, 2007 and its rules allow, unless a higher value is declared and agreed in writing before the move. We are not liable for damage that existed before the move, normal wear, or loss caused by events outside our control (see section 8).
8. Delivery times and delays
Transit times we give are estimates. We are not responsible for delays or loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as accidents, extreme weather, floods, fire, road closures, traffic or entry restrictions, strikes, government orders or riots. We will tell you as soon as we know of a delay.
9. Rescheduling and cancellation
Tell us as early as you can if you need to change or cancel a booking. Any rescheduling or cancellation charge, and how an advance is treated, is stated on your quote. If we have to cancel, we will offer another date or refund any advance for that booking.
10. Damage and claims
- Check your goods at delivery and note any damage or missing item on the delivery inventory before you sign it.
- Take photos of the damage and the packing, and keep the packing until the claim is settled.
- Send the claim in writing to Indiancargocpm11@gmail.com as soon as possible, with the consignment note, inventory and photos.
- For insured goods, the insurer's claim procedure and time limits apply. We will help you prepare the claim.
11. Storage
Storage is charged by the month at the rate in your quote. Goods are stored against a numbered inventory. We may need notice to retrieve items. Goods are released after storage charges due are paid.

13. Governing law and contact
